Responsibilities The Senior Strategic Business Analyst manages the development of business intelligence and reporting strategies, and provides authoritative advice, interpretation and/or consultation services in the delivery of data, analytics and evaluation to support Criminal Justice Branch strategic decision making. In this role you will be looked upon to work effectively with a variety of stakeholders to define scope, objectives, indicators, data requirements and evaluation strategies for criminal justice reform initiatives. You will play a lead role in the provision of day to day prosecution operations-focused analytics, and prepare written and verbal interpretations of complex information to both technical and non-technical audiences.

Experience and Qualifications University degree (preferably a Master's) in a related discipline and experience in strategic planning, business intelligence planning and project evaluation using quantitative methods. Experience and advanced knowledge using quantitative research methods and demonstrated success evaluating and implementing related strategic and operational policy and procedures. Experience working with large data sets and data extraction techniques using relational databases with a variety of tools and applications. Experience and advanced knowledge and understanding of business intelligence and management information reporting systems in relation to strategic business goals, and of their implications regarding resource allocation and program performance. Experience analyzing legislation and policy and provide advice and recommendations to Executive and other senior management and officials. Experience working in an environment with multiple stakeholders. Demonstrated ability to use initiative and ingenuity in a demanding and dynamic environment with competing demands and interests. Preference may be given to applicants who have experience using statistical programming languages (such as SPSS, SQL).
