The Avalon offers a variety of volunteer positions allowing you to bring your skills and talents to enjoy with residents! Opportunities include chatting, reading, playing Wii, manicures, musical entertainment, Tuck Shoppe and anything you want to do! Enhance your resume with practical skills & experience!

Responsibilities

Volunteer doing your activity of choice with what time you have available :) Tuck Shop Volunteers provide friendly service to the residents who frequent the shop to purchase small grocery/household items. Open and close the shop, record purchases and provide customer service. Training is provided and hours are flexible. To be available for shift once weekly, comfortable handling money, punctual, friendly, able to lift small packages/boxes.

Experience and Qualifications

Training and ongoing support provided by Coordinator of Volunteer Services. Police Check required for working with vulnerable populations for those of age of majority.
