Overview About Us: The Atlas Coal Mine is a nationally designated, locally operated industrial heritage site. We have been described by researchers as the most complete coal mining museum in Canada, preserving an intact historic landscape, buildings, machinery, objects, and archives.

Responsibilities Duties: Catalogue recent donations to the Atlas Coal Mine, and update the database. Maintain mine lamps and other artefacts used for demonstration and programming. Look after exhibits through inspection, cleaning, and repair as needed.

Experience and Qualifications We are seeking a student of museum practice who understands the principles of collections management. We are looking for a good work ethic, adaptability, and personal leadership skills. You must be physically fit, and relish the challenge of working outside as this job involves walking. Mastery of Microsoft Access, and attention to detail are important. You must have at least two years of post secondary education, and at least one year of applied Museum Studies, and intend to return to school later this year. You must understand the principles of collections management, and be interested in industrial heritage. A car necessary as we are located 15 minutes east of Drumheller. Job term: May - end of August 2013 Full time Wage: $15/hour
