Responsibilities

Position Summary: Perform engineering tasks related to the verification and validation of ANSYS software products to ensure correct and accurate performance. Essential Job Functions/Accountabilities: Under general supervision, participate in the following activities:

  • Execute tests based on Test Specifications and log test results oExecute tests based on Test Specifications, running manual and automated tests, reporting the results of testing efforts, and following up on failed tests to ensure that problems are resolved
  • Write test plans oWork with Development, Support, and Testing team members to define Test Specifications that will ensure new/enhanced features will effectively meet the needs of end users
  • Interactively verify and test product features in each build
  • Create and modify test scripts for automated testing
  • Develop test case documentation
  • Analyze results of automated testing (regression testing)
  • Issue defect reports
  • Test the assigned software modules or products before release - this involves execution of acceptance test specifications, including installations, licensing, regression tests and manual testing for preview and final releases.
  • Review of completed testing activities and results
  • Conduct detailed verification studies and document the results Perform other assigned tasks as directed by the supervisor to improve the overall quality of ANSYS, Inc. products.

  • Experience and Qualifications

    Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:

  • Master's/Bachelor's Degree in an engineering discipline (Mechanical/Civil/Aerospace)
  • Exposure to CAE tools by way of industrial experience or academic projects
  • Experience in using ANSYS products is a plus
  • A good understanding of Structural Analysis concepts and CFD concepts; Working knowledge of computational fluid dynamics and structural mechanics is preferred
  • Experience with both LINUX and Windows platforms preferred
  • Basic experience with a scripting or other programming language
  • Familiarity with CAD tools is useful
  • A thorough and careful approach to work; close attention to details and quality; strong organizational skills
  • Good written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
