Overview The Security Administrator will have the ability to learn and implement new technology, manage existing systems as well as the ability to work in both an individual and group environment. This position requires a highly motivated individual who will enjoy working to improve security systems and awareness. Will work directly with departments to implement procedures and systems for the protection, conservation and accountability of proprietary, personal or privileged electronic data.

Responsibilities Lead Security Incident Response teams to contain, investigate, and prevent future computer security breaches - Monitor and report on infrastructure security, and recommend corrective action when confidentiality, integrity and availability of the ANSYS environment is at risk or has been compromised - Assist with the development and maintenance of enterprise-wide IT security policies, standards, procedures, and architectures - Collaborate with IT resources in the development and implementation of IT Technical Standards - Assist with Security Awareness and training initiatives - Perform ongoing information risk and vulnerability assessments and audits to ensure that information systems are adequately protected - Track root cause and remediation activities for information security issues, audit findings and observations Advanced knowledge of network and endpoint security concepts, best practices, and procedures - Risk & vulnerability assessments - Broad understanding of all aspects of IT and enterprise systems interoperability. - Understanding of auditing principles and practices - Security Training and Awareness - Experience in design, implementation and/or use in several of the following areas:
Security Incident Response Management - Critical Security Information and Event Management - Critical Enterprise Anti-virus management - Important Application Whitelisting - Important Network Access Control - Exposure Network Vulnerability Scanning - Exposure Patch Management - Exposure Host-based IDS/IPS - Exposure Data Loss Prevention - Exposure - Strong working knowledge of Windows client/server, Linux/Unix systems and VMware - High level understanding of Active Directory - Network troubleshooting skills - Understanding in Checkpoint Firewall and Cisco technologies. - Understanding of routing and switch technologies - Programming skills with Unix/Linux shell scripting and Perl. - Understanding of web and database application security

Experience and Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent prior work experience in a related field - 2 - 3 years experience in security systems management - GSEC and/or CISSP designation a plus - Strong technical and or security administrative experience (application and operating system hardening, vulnerability assessments, security audits, network etc.) - Outstanding interpersonal and communication (verbal and written) skills to interface with management, staff, and vendors. - Must possess a high degree of integrity and trust along with the ability to work independently - Excellent documentation skills - Ability to weigh business risks and enforce appropriate information security measures
