VOC Lab Technician - AGAT Laboratories

Responsibilities

Description: - Adheres to AGAT's standard operating procedures - Performs laboratory procedures such as analyzing water and soil samples for a variety of tests such as (Petroleum Hydrocarbons such as CCME BTEX/F1-4, VOC, PAH and Alkylated PAH's) - Provides general lab support including washing of glassware and cleaning work stations - Other administrative/laboratory tasks as assigned

Experience and Qualifications

Qualifications: - BSc in Chemistry or equivalent - Basic Computer skills - Positive outlook with an ability to work in a fast-paced environment - Good time-management, communication, multi-tasking and priority setting skills - Work both independently and as part of a team - Detail-oriented and record keeping skills - Learns quickly - Adapts to a changing environment - Some lifting and carrying (up to 10 kgs) - Previous experience with GCMS/FID machines would be considered an asset
