Saskatchewan Institute of Applied Science and Technology Established: 1988 Number of Students About 41,000 Programs The Saskatchewan Institute of Applied Science and Technology (SIAST) provides skills and technical training in the areas of Agriculture, Applied and Visual Media, Aviation, Basic Education, Business, Community and Human Services, Engineering Technology, Health Services and Sciences, Hospitality and Food Services, Industrial and Trades, Natural Resources, Nursing, Recreation and Tourism, and Technology. The Institute also offers over 25 apprenticeships, specialized Continuing Education courses and programs for nurses, and specific programs for unemployed individuals. Additionally, the Institute has partnership agreements with various post-secondary institutions which allow students to take collaborative programs in Aviation, Business, Community and Human Services, Health Services and Sciences, Nursing, and Technology and receive credential for those program from either SIAST or the partnered institution.
