Ridgetown College Established: 1922 Number of Students Around 500 Programs Ridgetown College offers specialized programs leading to a bachelor degree, certificate, or diploma in agriculture, resource management, and rural development. The College provides numerous professional development programs which provide students with a combination of classroom instruction and paid work experience on their way to attaining the proper skills to successfully compete for employment in their chosen fields. One such program is the unique Swine Apprenticeship Program which combines in-class teaching with paid work experience on a farm. Through the Continuing Education division, the College provides specialty training and certification in the areas of livestock medicines and pesticides. In 2006, the College will begin delivering a Bachelor in Bio-Resource Management; developed in collaboration with government and industry, and offered through the University of Guelph, this program is designed for those interested in a management career in Bio-Resources.
