  • Joinery Apprenticeship - British Columbia Institute of Technology
    An apprenticeship is a method of learning a trade through a combination of periods of in-class, technical/theoretical education and periods of paid, on-the-job training. During In BC, a joinery apprenticeship will normally take 4 years to complete, including a minimum of 6,480 hours of work experience and 720 hours of classroom instruction. British Columbia Institute of Technology's Joinery Apprenticeship fulfills the in-class requirements of an apprenticeship program and will be delivered via 4 levels, each of which will be 6 weeks in duration.

  • Joinery ELTT - British Columbia Institute of Technology
    The Certificate of Trades Training in Joinery offered at the British Columbia Institute of Technology (BCIT), is a full-time, 25-week program designed to prepare 'students for entry-level employment in the joinery trade.' The Program will provide students with theoretical and technical education and practical learning opportunities enabling them 'to become competent in basic interior woodworking tasks.'

  • Timber Framing Program - College of the Rockies
    The College of the Rockies' Timber Framing Program will expose students to the fundamental techniques of Timber Framing and s comprised of a 12-week Timber Framing Program and a 5-day Introduction to Timber Framing Workshop. Graduates will be ready to seek employment in timber framing or related fields, primarily in the construction, wood, and wood products and manufacturing industries.

  • Pre-Apprentice Carpentry Trades Training - College of the Rockies
    The College of the Rockies' 24-week Pre-Apprentice Carpentry Trades Training program is designed for students possessing 'some carpentry experience who wish to acquire a comprehensive set of skills and knowledge to seek entry level employment in the construction industry.' Students who successfully complete the Program will be provided 9 weeks of 'paid work experience that will be monitored by the College' immediately following graduation.

  • Residential Construction (Carpentry / Joinery) - Northern Lights College
    Northern Lights College's 8-month Residential Construction (Carpentry / Joinery) program equips students with the knowledge and skills to pursue entry-level employment and/or an apprenticeship in carpentry and/or joinery, or related professions. Credit earned in the Program may be applied towards an apprenticeship program.

  • Entry-level Joinery - University College of the Fraser Valley
    The University College of the Fraser Valley's Entry-level Joinery certificate introduces students to the joinery 'trade, and develop skills expected by employers' in accordance with 'the entry-level provincial standard taught throughout B.C.' Graduates of the Program may not only seek employment in joinery, or related fields, but will be eligible to receive advanced credit towards a joinery apprenticeship, should one be pursued.
