  • Women Exploring Trades & Technology - Yukon College
    Yukon College's 16-week Women Exploring Trades and Technology program provides students with an introduction to a variety of trades, including Carpentry, Electrical, General Mechanics, Pipe Trades, and Welding as well as a broad array of skills. The Program will enable participants 'to make informed decisions as to the potential and suitability of a career in Trades and Technology.' Graduates of the Program may pursue employment in numerous trades as well as apprenticeship training.

  • Carpentry Apprentice Level III - Yukon College
    An apprenticeship is a method of learning a trade through a combination of periods of in-class, technical/theoretical education and periods of paid, on-the-job training. In Yukon, completing a carpentry apprenticeship normally takes about 4 years, in-class and on-the-job training combined. The in-class portion of an apprenticeship will be delivered via 4 eight-week sessions per year, and Yukon College's Carpentry Apprentice Training Level III fulfills the requirements for the third of these 8-week sessions.

  • Carpentry Apprentice Level IV - Yukon College

    Yukon College's 20-week Carpentry Pre-Employment program prepares students to pursue a career, career advancement, or further educational opportunities in the carpentry profession or related fields. The Program provides students with 'a good knowledge base for an entry-level position in the job force' as well as 'completion of the theoretical requirements for Level 1 of the Carpentry Apprenticeship program.'
