Parkland Regional College Established: 1973 Number of Students More than 9,000. Programs Parkland Regional College focuses on offering courses and programs in basic adult education, university transfer, and vocational and trades training. The College provides courses from the University of Regina in the Faculties of Administration, Arts, Education, Science, and Social Work. In addition, 1st year courses from the Faculties of Fine Arts, Humanities, Natural Science, and Social Science, 2nd year classes from the Faculties of Humanities and Social Science, and, occasionally, upper division courses from the University of Saskatchewan are afforded by the College. The College also has over 11 skills training programs that are designed to lead students directly into employment upon their completion. One such program is “JobStart / Future Skills” which provides funding to employers to train unemployed individuals for positions in which, once the training is over, they will be employed. Interesting Facts Located in east central Saskatchewan, Parkland Regional College has the most expansive offering of university-based studies in Saskatchewan. |
