The Woodford Training Centre offers an Interprovincial Hairstylist & Aesthetics Program which is accredited by the Government of Newfoundland and Labrador Provincial Apprenticeship and Certification Board. The Woodford Training Centre is a designated site for Red Seal Practical Examination. The Woodford Training Centre offers a Hairstylist program lasting for a duration of 40 weeks. It is an international Red Seal program in which students are trained in all aspects of cosmetology and barbering. Students have to continue an apprenticeship program of 4000 hours duration to qualify for Interprovincial Journeyman status. They are provided training in Advanced Cutting, Salon Fundamentals, Advanced Perming Techniques, Styling II (Design), Advanced Coloring, Styling I (Hair Care), Introduction to Aesthetics, Cutting I (Hairdressing), Workplace Correspondence, Work Exposure, Hair Coloring, Quality Assurance/Control, Specialty Perming, Introduction to Computers, Cutting II (Barbering), Workplace Skills, Color Fundamentals, Job Search Seminar, Basic Perming, Entrepreneurial Awareness, and Lightening & Toning and Customer Service. The Woodford Training Centre offers a 42 week Aesthetics Program and successful graduates are qualified to work as professional aestheticians. The programs they are trained in include Professional Image, Advanced Facial Treatments, Sanitation & Disinfection, Salon and Spa Business, Physiology & Histology of the Skin, Skin Disorders and Diseases, Spa Pedicures, Spa Body Treatments, Spa Manicures, Makeup Techniques, Basic Facial Treatment, Electrotherapy, Treatment Preparation, Advanced Nail Techniques, Skin Analysis, Career Planning, Anatomy & Physiology, Customer Service, Hair Removal, Candling, Relaxation Massage Techniques, Lash & Brow Tinting, Cosmetic Ingredients.
