The Western Canadian School of Auctioneering offers a program that is held three times a year, in March, August and November. The programs are of 11 days duration wherein students are also taken to various auction houses. Since Wolff Auctioneers are themselves focused in providing professional auction services, the students of the Western Canadian School get hands-on training. The key parameters on which students are graded include ability to sell and conduct. Since the program is of short duration, the college insists that students must attend all the classes. The college also emphasizes on wearing suitable clothes befitting the auctioneer’s profession since most of the auctions are attended by the rich and high class socialites. During the program students are given basic understanding of fair trading act, receivership and liquidation auctions, using Internet for auction, setting up a website, public speaking, advertising, bid calling, farm equipment auction, contract auctioneering, livestock auctioneering, real estate auctions and how to set up an own auction business. The program is designed to equip students get a job in reputed auction houses. The instructors are highly qualified; some of them even have over 30 years of auction experience. The program costs around $2200, which includes tuition fee and one year membership to the Auctioneers’ Association of Alberta. Wolff Auctioneers are members of Auctioneers' Association of Canada, Alberta Auctioneers' Association, Canadian Personal Properties Appraisers’ Group and National Auctioneers' Association.
