Located in Maple Ridge, BC, The Western Dog Grooming School provides education in pet care, grooming techniques, and execution of different breed trims so that students will be knowledgeable in their chosen field and well prepared to further their professionalism. With classes limited to an enrollment of eight and with growing demand for trained groomers, the school will accept the first 8 students that qualify through their interview process. They are the only Dog Grooming School in Western Canada that is registered with the Private Career Training Institutions Agency (PCTIA).Their aim is to have their program participants be educated and knowledgeable about the health and well being of dogs, the execution of different breed trims and the business of pet grooming. Upon completion of the program, many students move to start their own businesses. The Western Dog Grooming School encourages self-employment, home-based, and mobile businesses when graduates feel ready.
