Located in the province of Quebec, the St. Pius X Culinary Institute offers a number of culinary training programs for students interested in the restaurant and food industry. The programs are tuition-free and the institute also has a unique Student for a Day program for prospective students. The courses offered are designed to fulfill the growing demands of the food and industry. As new restaurants and innovative kinds of food enter the market every day, culinary professionals need to be up-to-date on the latest techniques and trends. The St. Pius X Culinary Institute ensures that every graduate has the skills needed to compete and succeed in the food and beverage industry. The institute currently offers three courses in culinary training - professional cooking, food and beverage services as well as contemporary cuisine. The professional cooking program earns the graduates a diploma in vocational studies. The course covers 1350 hours and is worth 90 credits. Students who opt for the food and beverages services course will also earn a diploma in vocational studies on completion of this 960 course. It is worth 64 credits. The contemporary cuisine program which covers 525 hours will lead to an attestation of vocational studies on course completion. The St. Pius X Culinary Institute also offers its services to the public and holds public dining for lunches and dinners. The menus are based on the modules that are taught in the classes.
