Located in the province of Alberta, the Springbank Air Training College Ltd. offers a number of commercial and private aviation training courses. A number of these aviation programs are recognized by the Private Vocational Schools Act and the college also offers programs to students from the international community. Accommodation is provided for these students as well as a free shuttle service that will take them to and from the airport. Springbank Air Training College Ltd. offers courses for amateur and first time flyers and for those looking to establish serious careers in commercial aviation. Courses are also available for experienced pilots who are looking to upgrade their existing flying skills. Courses are currently available for private, recreational and commercial license training with the latter recognized by the Private Vocational Schools Act. The course is specially designed to cater to the high demand for trained commercial pilots that has been forecasted by numerous industry studies. The college offers specialized ratings and endorsement courses for aspects such as multi-engine rating, night rating and instructor rating. A course in mountain check is also available which includes three hours of instruction in ground school. Springbank Air Training College Ltd. also offers a range of sightseeing tours and offers planes for rent. The college is also involved in aircraft design and has created its own Flight Design CT aircraft. The college offers students the option of undertaking computer delivered exams at the college.
