Ridge Meadows College was established in 1992 and is a part of School District No. 42. It is fully accredited by the Ministry of Education and is registered as a private career college. It offers a range of career training as well as certificate programs in a variety of fields. The programs are offered both full as well as part-time. It offers programs in Business, Education and Health Care. It also offers interesting programs in Hospitality and SuperHost, FoodSafe and Recreation. Students may also take up programs that qualify them for vacations. It also offers a variety of WorkSafe programs. Students may also take up TESL/TEFL as well as programs in early childhood education. The programs such as dental assistant, home health aide, medical assistant etc. are popular too. It offers a variety of one day coaching certification programs as well. The institution of community education offers GED and high school diploma programs and also offers English Language services as well as adult education programs to adults. It has established relationships with 5 post-secondary institutions to offer a variety of programs to high school students. The programs include carpentry, web design, culinary arts, metal fabrications etc. It offers a variety of refresher programs as well as multi-certificate programs. Ridge Meadows College also hosts one day workshops that students find informative as well as educative. The instructors are highly skilled experts in their respective fields with many years of experience. The theory classes as well as industry practicum help the students get a comprehensive learning experience.
