Emergency Services Academy offers several programs designed to train students who wish to have careers in the emergency services industry. The institution has experienced professionally qualified and highly skilled instructors who are experts in their fields with vast practical knowledge. Emergency Services Academy offers programs such as the Professional Fire Fighter Program, the Emergency Medical Technician Program and the Emergency Medical Responder Program which are much in demand by social minded students who wish to contribute to the community. The students are taught well using a balance of theory as well as practical classes. The institution’s Emergency Medical Responder Program has been accredited by the Alberta College of Paramedics. The Emergency Medical Technician is accredited by the Canadian Medical Association and by the Alberta College of Paramedics. The curriculum of the fire fighter program is based on the standards set by the International Fire Service Accreditation Congress and the program is offered in partnership with Lakeland College, Alberta. Part of the program is conducted in Lakeland College and other sections are conducted at various other locations in Edmonton and Strathcona County. Students may also opt for other programs such as the Ice Rescue, Technical Rope Rescue, and the Fire Fighter Self Rescue courses. Some more interesting programs that are available are Aquatic Spinal Rescue and EMR/EMT Refresher courses. Students are offered assistance in securing financial aid. The students are trained well to ensure they pass the government certification exam easily.
