  Profile of Career College/Trade School
Edmonton Flying Club was established in 1927 as the Edmonton and Northern Alberta Aero Club. It is located at the Edmonton City Center Airport, the first licensed airport in Canada. The institution has a couple of classrooms, briefing rooms and a simulator room. It has a lounge with a computer and a TV room to help students look up previous exam papers and watch training videos. The Institution also has a hanger that is run by the school's maintenance engineers who ensure that the aircrafts are well maintained and serviced to ensure safety of the students and the staff. Students at Edmonton Flying Club are offered the chance of flying at all four seasons ensuring they get experience in flying in all weather conditions possible. The duration taken to complete the programs offered by the institution depends on how often the students can fly. Students are also trained in their own aircrafts if they owned an aircraft subject to certain conditions. Students are recommended to book only one flight training session per day. Edmonton Flying Club has seven qualified and highly experienced instructors as well as a large fleet of aircrafts ensuring that students get to plan their schedules well in advance without much inconvenience. Once students have completed their ground school and have about 10 hours of flying experience they may qualify for the Ministry of Transport Written examination. Students can attend ground school by attending regular classes or by completing the program online.
