The Corpus Christi College is a Catholic Liberal Arts College. Its campus is located at the University of British Columbia. The college began its programs in 1999. The college aims to provide high quality education to students that is in sync with Catholic teachings. In 2001, Corpus Christi College was accredited by Private Post Secondary Education Commission. It is also accredited with the Association of Catholic Colleges and the Universities of Canada. Programs offered at the college include Mathematics, History, Philosophy, Communications, English, Catholic History and Geography. The college aims to promote academic distinction among Catholic students studying there and to be part of a full-fledged Catholic university in future. Corpus Christi college’s goal is to develop a synergy of “faith and reason” as outlined by the Vatican. The college welcomes non-Catholic students and respects their faith. The Corpus Christi College offers diploma courses in liberal arts, including Catholic Studies, Economics, English, French, Fine Arts, Literature, Geography, Philosphy and History. The Corpus Christi College has courses in Computer Science as well, keeping in mind the booming IT industry. The Corpus Christi College also has credit transfer arrangments with other colleges in British Columbia. After the first or second year at the college, students can get transferred to another college in British Columbia.
