Canadian Academy of Dental Hygiene was founded in 2002. It is based in the center of the city of Mississauga in Ontario, Canada. The Comission of Dental Accreditation of Canada has approved the college for full accreditation until 2010. The college accepts applications from people around the world. Students have to take a writing test before admission is finalized. This private career college provides up to date study material in the field of dental hygiene. The faculty is well experienced and consists of dental professionals such as dental hygienists, dentists and others. Amenities at the Canadian Academy of Dental Hygiene include laboratories, clinical facilities, a research library and computers with Internet access. Enrolment in the dental program is conducted every year in the months of May and November. The program trains students to be Dental Hygiene practitioners and help their clients maintain optimal dental health. The course is around eighteen months in duration and is divided into three academic levels of 22 weeks each. Some courses offered are biology, psychology, oral health sciences and dental hygiene theory. After completion of a dental program from the Canadian Academy of Dental Hygiene, each student has to sit for the National Dental Hygiene Certification Board Examination. Until now, every student of the college has been successful in this examination. Later on, students are employed as dental hygienists with dental offices, hospitals, community health departments and research facilities.
