Avant-Garde College was founded in 1987 and is a private institution offering post-secondary training. It offers students training in esthetics, cosmetology, and also trains students as nail technician and commercial make-up artists. The institution reviews its curriculum frequently and makes necessary changes to the curriculum to train the students in the trends that are in demand. Advance classes and upgrading classes are also offered. Avant-Garde College has spacious classrooms with abundant sunlight as well as two salons. The cosmetology program is of 42 weeks duration and classes are held on a weekdays from 8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. except Thursday where classes are held a bit late. The classes are offered in February, April, June, August, September, October, and December. The esthetics program is of 42 weeks duration and classes are held on a weekdays from 8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. except Thursday where classes are held a bit late. The classes commence in January, March, May, July, September, and November. The nail technician program is of 22 weeks duration and classes are held Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. and enrollment for this program is an ongoing process.
