Adventure Aviation Inc. is a pilot training facility which was established in the province of Alberta in the year 2000. It offers permit courses, license courses and rating courses in flying for private aircrafts as well as commercial flying. It is currently a member of the Chamber of Commerce, the Grande Prairie Regional Tourism Association and the Aviation Transportation Association of Canada. Adventure Aviation Inc. was established to deal with the growing needs for experienced small aircraft pilots in the region. What began as a rented office with one instructor has grown into a permanent flight service facility. The facility is commercially maintained with highly trained instructors on hand. The institute offers training in recreational flying, which includes a flight test and a computer exam. A private pilot license is also available as well as a commercial flight training course, which will prepare students for a career in aviation. Experienced flyers can opt for a night-rating course, Visual Flight Rules Over-the-top rating program or a single engine instrument rating course. These classes will help expand the skill set of trained pilots. Courses are also available which teach recreational mountain flying and advanced mountain flying. These courses will cover the challenges as well as the safety precautions involved in mountain flying. The institute also does maintenance work on aircrafts- this service is open to the public and is done on a routine basis on all of their planes.
